In recent months, operational performance in radiotherapy has declined with services reporting long delays for patients needing treatment. However, this generally does not receive the same level of visibility in the public debate as chemotherapy and other cancer treatments. This briefing explores the main drivers of lengthening waiting times for radiotherapy and what action we need at a national and local level to support services.
