Sciensano has got approval as a scientific research institution for the years 2023 and 2024 from the FPS Finance to issue tax certificates for donations received. This means that donations made in cash provide a tax advantage for our donors.
Donations made to Sciensano must have a minimum value to give rise to a tax reduction of 45% of the amount paid. The total amount of donations for which the tax reduction is granted may not exceed 10 % of total net income or a maximum amount per tax period. The figures currently in force can be consulted on the website of the SPF Finances. This amount is shown on the tax certificate drawn up by Sciensano.The tax certificate for all the donations you have made to us is sent by 31 March of the following year at the latest.

Bequests:
To make a bequest, the donor must draw up a will, either in his own handwriting or in the presence of a notary (recommended). The legatee must also specify the purpose of the bequest.
