Virologist appointed in 2016 at Belgium National Influenza Centre until mid October 2023, now working in the Avian Virology and Immunology service.
Interests: influenza viruses and other respiratory viruses, in particular members of the Paramyxoviridae family. Research projects primarily focus on the role of influenza virus polymerase fidelity in pathogenicity and evolution in order to improve tools for pandemic preparedness.
