Dr Clara A. Cutello is an applied social psychologist. Her scientific interests span the fields of social psychology, behavior change, and persuasive communication and their practical and societal applications. She is particularly interested in food and sustainable decision-making and in exploring ways to improve people’s health, safety, and resilience. She is passionate about the application of behavioral economics and human factors in these areas, and also the personality and social factors that motivate people’s decision-making and risk-taking tendencies.
She holds a PhD from the University of Plymouth (UK) and did a postdoc in social psychology and consumer behavior at the University of Antwerpen (BE) and at the Universitat Basel (CH).
