Abstract:

Bluetongue is an insect-borne disease of domestic and wild ruminants that requires strict monitoring by sensitive, reproducible and robust methods. Real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) analysis has become the method of choice for routine viral diagnosis.
