Description
To curb the burden of cancer in Europe, the European Commission has launched two major initiatives: the Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan (EBCP) which is a policy-driven strategy that addresses every stage of the disease: prevention, early detection, diagnosis, and treatment; as well as the Mission on Cancer which focuses on research and innovation to improve the lives of 3 million cancer patients and survivors by 2030.
In support of the implementation of the EBCP, the Cancer Center of Sciensano coordinates a large national stakeholder platform: the Belgian EBCP Mirror Group. The BE-EBCP Mirror Group will host its first Symposium on « Strengthening together Belgium’s efforts against cancer: from concept to reality » in Brussels on September 21st, 2023.
This event will bring together key representatives of European and Belgian institutions to foster dialogue and exchange about the impact of the EBCP in Belgium thus far, and what still needs to be done to improve the outcomes and quality of life of Belgian cancer patients and survivors.
Register for the event — before 14/09
* Please note that the capacity for our symposium is limited, and we will reach out to you shortly to confirm your attendance
** This event will be held in English only and will take place at the BIP (Rue Royale 2-4, Brussels)
