Sciensano’s Epidemiology of infectious diseases service:
- describes the epidemiology of bartonellosis in Belgium (in terms of age, gender, geographical location and seasonal patterns)
- follows trends over time
- identifies potential risk factors.
Data are collected by the National Reference Center for Bartonella at Cliniques Universitaires Saint-Luc in Brussels and the Network of sentinel laboratories.
