How is Chlamydia diagnosed?
A sample is taken using a swab for women and by taking a urine sample for men.
A screening test can be carried out on an initial urine stream (first morning's urine, or after not having urinated for one hour prior to the test).

In order to curb the spread of the disease, routine screening is recommended for all sexually active adolescents and young adults (aged 15-29).
