Monitoring the epidemiological situation and reporting to Europe
The service Epidemiology of infectious diseases monitors the epidemiological situation of monkeypox in Belgium. To do so, Sciensano relies on information from the regional health services. Sciensano reports these data to the European Center for Disease Control (ECDC). Our scientists analyse and interpret these data to support decision-making.
