Outsourcing of analyses to foreign laboratories Ɩ Clinical pathology

Last updated on 27-6-2024 by Pierre Daubresse

General concept

The analyses of clinical pathology prescribed in the context of rare diseases and that are not available in Belgium, can be outsourced to foreign medical laboratories.

In this context, an invoice can be sent to Sciensano (nathalie.vandevelde@sciensano.be) in order to obtain reimbursement of the transport and analysis costs for the outsourced samples.

Examples of analyses outsourced to foreign laboratories

Below you will find a non-exhaustive list of medical analyses that can be outsourced and of foreign laboratories that perform them.
