Ilse Peeters is a general practitioner (KULeuven, 2015) with a postgraduate ‘Tropical Medicine and International Health’ (ITM Antwerp, 2013). She did several internships abroad in the context of infectious diseases and has 5 years of experience as a doctor in Belgium.
She has been working for Sciensano in the department of Epidemiology of Infectious diseases since July 2019, where she worked mainly on a Chlamydia prevalence study in the Belgian population, mortality surveillance during the COVID-19 pandemic and currently on the network, PediSurv, for the surveillance of infectious diseases in children.
