Dr. Samira Boarbi PhD

Samira Boarbi graduated in 1999 from the ULB as Master in Biomedical Sciences. After six years of research work on Mycobacteria in Pasteur Institute of Brussels and in the Scientific Institute of Public Health, she worked six years in the Veterinary and Agrochemical Research Centre (CODA-CERVA). During this period, she obtained a certificate in Laboratory Animal Science and did a PhD in collaboration with the Louvain Institute of Biomolecular Science and Technology (IBST). She held her PhD in 2015 from the Sciences faculty of the UCL with a dissertation on Coxiella burnetti. Since then, she worked as a scientist in CODA-CERVA and as QC supervisor in a biotech company. She joined the Belgian Reference Laboratory for “Tuberculosis and Mycobacteria” in Sciensano since March 2018.
