Dr. Suzannah D'Hooghe PhD

Suzannah D’Hooghe was born on August 28, 1993, in Leuven. She obtained her Master in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy magna cum laude at KU Leuven in 2017, and obtained a Master in Conflict and Development studies at Ghent University in 2018. After working as a Clinical Research Associate at The Clinical Company, she started on the CIVISANO-project in 2019 as part of her PhD. The CIVISINO-project was funded by Sciensano and is a collaboration between Sciensano, Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Ghent University. She obtained the title of Doctor of Health Sciences and Doctor of Educational Sciences in November 2024. Currently she works at Sciensano, the Public Health Institute of Belgium, at the Department of Public health and epidemiology. Suzannah is affiliated with the Society and Ageing Research Lab at Vrije Universiteit Brussel and the Health Promotion research group at Ghent University. She is a member of the Belgian Association for Public Health and a member of the Steering Committee of the European Public Health Association (Health Promotion Section).
