Sciensano will integrate the COVID-19 reporting into the Acute respiratory infections bulletin from the week of 24 July 2023. This bulletin is published every Wednesday afternoon.
Since 1 July 2023, there have been some changes in the COVID-19 surveillance. The competent authorities have decided that hospitals are no longer required to report data relating to COVID-19. The testing strategy for the general population has also recently been modified. From now on, COVID-19 data will be included in the Acute respiratory infections bulletin (available in Dutch and French) and will continue to be available through the dashboard and open data.
The Acute respiratory infections bulletin includes the latest surveillance data for acute respiratory infections such as influenza, RSV and COVID-19. The surveillance is assured by the networks of sentinel GPs, sentinel laboratories, sentinel nursing homes and sentinel hospitals.
The first integrated Acute respiratory infections bulletin will be published on Wednesday, 26 July 2023.
